ART WORKSHOPS - VILLA KERYLOS Beaulieu sur Mer on the French Riveira

Studio de Peyre offers a unique opportunity to explore your creativity in the palatial setting of the Villa Kerylos Beaulieu sur Mer on the shores of the French Riviera.

The courses are ideal as either the focal point of a holiday or as an additional interest to fit in with existing holiday plans. Subjects available include ceramics decoration & mosaics, with the introduction of painting and conceptual art courses planned for 2009. They are run by the highly experienced husband and wife team of Gabriel de Peyre and Patricia Stewart, both practising artists, who established the school in 2003. Designed to appeal to all ages and levels of ability, the aim of the classes is to explore materials and techniques, to create a piece of work or images for you to take home and, importantly, to have fun along the way. So if you start one class then decide you would like to try another, you are welcome to change at any time.

Tutors
Gabriel de Peyre studied Ceramics at the Arts et Metiers de Vevey in Switzerland and is a highly trained & experienced ceramicist and tutor based in France.

Patricia Stewart holds a BA Honours degree in Art History, and is a practising visual artist based in Norfolk England who creates artworks in a variety of media and who also has extensive teaching experience with all age groups

Workshops

The workshops take place in one of the Villa’s ornate drawing rooms and under parasols on the wide sun terrace overlooking the bay. The workshops offer a rare opportunity both to learn a new skill and to work and relax in the splendour of this extraordinary villa.

Ceramic Decoration & Mosiacs

These courses have been run successfully for a number of years by ourselves and always prove popular as part of the overall holiday experience on the Riviera. You can choose either one discipline or the other , or if you prefer a mixture of both during your five session course. Fee includes free admission to Villa Kerylos, all materials, and lunch. A deposit of £100 is required

Fees for September - March 2pm - 6pm

£430 per person for 5 sessions

Fees for April - June 11am - 5pm

£540 per person for 5 sessions
